There He Was...
I was passing through the always crowded Shinjuku station, in Tokyo today. As I came down a stairway to a train platform, I noticed a bald man with glasses, who seemed crippled by a low esteem. His t-shirt hung off his slumped body in a manner that imbued his self-perception of inferiority with the world around him. Nevertheless, as worthless as he may have believed he was, he had unwittingly given rise to the focus of a stranger, who thought he was precious in the fabric of the moment.
