He's Coming!
Finally, after eight and a half years, my brother, Leon, is coming to Japan! He will be arriving the day after I return back from Southeast Asia, in August.
It is very difficult to know what to show him, as there is so much here. However, Kyoto and Kamakura will be "must visits". I can't wait to share with him the contrasts of Zen temples and Shingon temples. He is a technology fanatic, so a few visits to modern Tokyo are a major priority. We also plan a trek up to the summit of Mount Fuji - something I have done twice now.
For myself, I am very much looking forward to introducing my life and friends to him. I don't think he has any idea how I live. Of course, a few cool Asahi beers will be on the menu!!!
