The beginning of a journey can hold such promise. You are fueled by excitement and the unknown.
Maybe you need to try and change how you are viewing "home". I may be totally wrong but it sounds like you see returning to the UK as some sort of failure instead of a new opportunity.
A job will come because they always do. The universe can't have people lazing about and enjoying the sunshine all the time.
Choose happiness my friend!

B.B. you are, of course, right. Transition is a pretty uncomfortable process to go through, but I am sure I will look back on these times from a far better vantage point in the future. DAMN, I DO MISS MY LIFE IN JAPAN!
